Illinois Cheerleader Training Academy (ICTA) is a full service
cheerleading and dance gym providing allstar competition teams,
tumbling, stunting and cheer classes, adult exercise classes, preschool
activity classes, birthday parties, gym rentals, private instruction,
cheerleading camps and clinics, coaches training and safety certification.
In addition, a full line pro shop featuring all of the latest styles in
cheerleading clothing, shoes and accessories.

It is the mission of ICTA to build strong character and positive
self-esteem in our athletes. Through training, practice and competition in
the sport of allstar cheerleading and dance, we strive to prepare
children for high school, college and life beyond their school years.

ICTA opened its doors in Schaumburg, Illinois in May, 2003. The first
facility of its kind in Chicago's northwest suburbs, ICTA prides itself on
offering the highest quality training at a highly competitive price.

Beginning as the Mt. Prospect Cheerleading Association back in 1996,
MPCA offered children in grade school the opportunity to cheer
competitively without the added responsibility of supporting a sports
team by cheering games. This new concept caught on slowly in
Chicagoland up until about the year 2000 when new programs started
popping up in the area. Over the first few seasons, MPCA's Knights
Allstars added 7 more cheerleading and dance teams for ages 4-18, and in
2003, Illinois Knights Elite Allstars were ranked in the top 10 nationally
when they took 8th place at the National Allstar Cheerleading
Championship held in Orlando. Many more national titles have followed
since then. Due to the huge growth in the program, the Knights moved into
their own 8,000 square foot air conditioned facility in Schaumburg in
May, 2003 where all teams currently practice.
